If you’re a social media marketer, you might be jumping for joy on this week’s news from Instagram. A couple weeks ago it was rumored that Instagram was working on a multiple account view for the popular photo app and yesterday it was confirmed that Instagram will begin rolling out Multiple Account Switching on iOS and Android starting this week. Woo hoo!
We just updated our Instagram app and we’re thrilled to have been given access right away to this new feature. Need help getting this set up for you? Here’s a step by step walkthrough:
How To Set Up Instagram Multiple Account Switching
- Tap the “Settings” button in the upper right hand corner of your app
- Scroll down and tap “Add Account”
- You will be prompted to login to the additional account
- You will be logged in.
- Keep following this until you add all your accounts. Right now Instagram only allows you to have 5 accounts maximum.
What Else You Need to Know about Instagram Multiple Account Switching
You will know which account you are logged into by the screen in the lower right hand corner.
You can toggle between accounts by clicking on the account name on the top center of you Instagram screen.
Who Should Use Instagram Multiple Account Switching?
Anyone with more than one Instagram account can benefit from Instagram Multiple Account switching. This feature is particularly useful for Social Media Marketers who are constantly toggling back and forth between client Instagram feeds all day. The demand has been there for awhile and we are glad to see Instagram finally roll out this feature for iOS and Android.
